The Day & Knight Membership is built as the inner circle for dedicated people who love chess and want to push things to the next level. The membership supports all the Day & Knight programs, ranging from tournaments to scholarships, community events, equipment, after-school outreach, academy training and many others. Becoming a part of the community has never felt more rewarding, because you can improve your skills, but also give back as well.
If you want to enter the Day & Knight Membership program, you should keep in mind that there are multiple tiers you can access. Each one offers great benefits, and it’s a very good idea to check it out, to see what fits your needs the most.
Those that want to become a community member will pay $30 a year, and that’s targeting families who want to participate often. Tournament entry is $15, you have weekly casual play access, early registration for tournaments, access to weekly rated play, member updates and newsletters, but also official community recognition. You get all of these as a part of the membership. The great thing is that just by attending 2 tournaments, the membership will pay for itself.
If you want to become a Premium member, that will cost you $125 a year. It’s the ideal option if you want to compete consistently during the year. That’s because you are getting a free entry to 12 paid monthly tournaments, along with an official Premium member shirt, community recognition, the early registration access and weekly casual play access.
Those that want to improve the way they play chess may want to try the Academy Training program. It’s meant to offer a level-based introduction to chess, weekly casual play, automatic community memberships and many others. Of course, you can upgrade to the premium membership from this if you want to enter an unlimited number of tournaments.
Yes, if you are a part of the community and want to get access to more tournaments and training. It becomes cheaper to access some excellent benefits, and the best part is that you can pay once for one year to enjoy all the benefits. The advantage is that you’re a part of the inner circle of chess, and you get to enjoy the experience in more ways than expected. It all comes down to having fun and making the most out of this entire process.
At the end of the day, you have the opportunity to play even more than before, and enjoy some core benefits that are introduced starting with April 2026. For example, there will be weekly rated play which will cost $30 per month standalone, but which is a part of the Academy enrollment. And of course, there are the after-school programs that cost $90 per session, open for students that are a part of participating campuses.
Another important aspect is that starting with 2026, you will have access to the scholarship system as well. Day & Knight is fully focused on making sure that there are no financial barriers between you and playing in the tournaments you want. The scholarship will include academy tuition support, tournament entry sponsorship, but also after-school program assistance and fee waivers for weekly rated play.
